“Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine.”
(1 Timothy 5:17)

If you really want to get the most out of Church, pray for your Pastor and his Family everyday. Pray that God will give him wisdom and keep him strong. Ask the Lord to give Him the right message every time he speaks. If you see something in your church or something about your Pastor that you don’t agree with, Pray!. Instead of talking about the problem, you should pray.

Ask God what you can do to be a Blessing. Remember that your Pastor is human and that he/she is not perfect. Pastors are people too-They have flaws like you and me. They don’t always do everything right. Begin to ‘Cut them some Slack’ and Pray for them. We should always treat true ministers with respect.

First Timothy 5:17 says they are worthy of double honor. Actually, Church members generally have many unrealistic expectations of their Pastors. It is scriptural for your Pastor to have a balanced life. The Lord wants Pastors to pray, work, rest and have a proper amount of recreation. God wants us to enjoy our lives! First Timothy 6:17 says that God gives us richly all things to enjoy.

I decide to love and honor my Pastor and will always pray for him/her that God will richly Bless, Prosper and Favor Him/Her in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
