“Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean [men]” (Proverbs 22:29)

Often when people are asked to volunteer and help in the church, they may tend to think it’s not important to follow through with their commitment, mostly because they are not getting paid. When people drop the ball, they often don’t see how their decision affects others.

We must learn to keep our Word. I realize that there are times emergencies may arise and you cannot keep a commitment –that’s different. Where you have a serious commitment, make arrangements in advance for someone else to fill in for you.

Remember that people are counting on you, and the Bible says that a faithful man will abound with Blessings, (Proverbs 28:20 “A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent”)

I encourage you to start afresh from today. Purpose in your heart that you will become a person of integrity by keeping your Word and following through with your commitments.

“Father, I will be diligent in working for my Church and in everything you give me to do. Therefore, I will not become poor in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.”
