THE GOD OF PEACE!
“Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ” (Romans 5:1)
The Lord ‘promises peace to his people, his saints- but let them not return to folly’ (Psalm 85:8). The source of our peace is our right standing with God. When we get out of sorts with God’s purposes and will, peace leaves. The psalmist declared, ‘Righteousness and peace kiss each other, (vs 10) Paul reminds us that the Lord of peace will give us ‘peace at all times and in every way’ (2 Thessalonians 3:16)Our actions are what determine our peace. We should spend our lives in productive, focused labor. The principle is that ‘If a man will not work, he shall not eat’. To be busy and not busybodies means that we know our jobs, vocations and callings and are working hard every day to accomplish them. Many people chase idle dreams and talk, but never produce anything. They grow frustrated and lose their peace. If we will work hard and ‘never tire of doing what is right’ (2 Thessalonians 3:13), then the Lord of peace will give us peace. Have you lost your peace? Find your work, and you will find your peace.
Our Prayer Together… “Thank you Father God, for great Peace and Joy that I experience from day to day in Jesus Name, Amen.”
