“To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory”
 (Colossians 1:27)

The mystery of all ages is ‘Christ in you, the hope of Glory’ (Colossians 1:27) Just as we see Christ in all His Glory, we also see how Christ in us is our hope of Glory. Paul’s struggle was to impart Christ into the lives of the believers. He wanted every person to be ‘perfect in Christ’ (Colossians 1:28) Perfection (maturity) in Christ comes first of all from ‘admonishing’ every person.

We need someone around us who is warning us of danger areas, blind spots and areas that block the glory of Christ in our lives. Second, perfection comes from ‘teaching’ every man. How desperately we Christians need the spiritual information to cope with spiritual warfare, our families, our finances, guidance, the fruit of the Spirit and a host of other subjects relevant to godliness. Someone said, ‘We need more information and not just more inspiration’

Third, perfection comes when believers are ‘united in love’. (Colossians 22:2) Love is the highest attribute of perfection, and the Christ in us desires to reach out in love. If we follow these three guidelines, we will have the ‘full riches of complete understanding’ (Colossians 2:2)

“Dear Lord with Hope in my heart I place my future in your Almighty hands in Jesus Precious Name, Amen.”
