OFFERING IS PART OF MY WORSHIP

“Thou shalt keep the feast of unleavened bread: (thou shalt eat unleavened bread seven days, as I commanded thee, in the time appointed of the month Abib; for in it thou camest out from Egypt: and none shall appear before me empty:)” (Exodus 23:15)

God wants us to see our money as something holy, that we offer in worship to Him, and that without this offering, our worship is incomplete. In the Book of Exodus God gave regulations for every male in Israel to come to Jerusalem three times a year. They were to offer worship and to celebrate before God. No one was to appear before God empty handed.

Let us examine this portion of Scripture: “Three times thou shalt keep a feast unto me in the year. Thou shalt keep the feast of unleavened bread: (thou shalt eat unleavened bread seven days, as I commanded thee, in the time appointed of the month Abib; for in it thou camest out from Egypt: and none shall appear before me empty:) Exodus 23:14-15. Here Israel had to come up at God’s appointed time and in God’s appointed way.

No Israelite was to appear before God empty handed. Every Israelite had to have an offering for God as part of the Celebration and Worship. We too must follow this example. When we present ourselves at God’s House (sanctuary) for Worship, we must present ourselves with an offering which is part of our Worship and in accordance with the Word.

DECLARATION OF FAITH

“I bring the first fruits of all my increase and pay it in the House of God. My Tithe is Holy and I will be faithful in paying it, Amen."
