“And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward” (2 Corinthians 3:4)

The word trust can be described as follows: the belief that a person or thing can be trusted, being truthful or strong or to be relied upon. We need to go to a place where we are beyond trusting in ourselves. We must never rest upon anything that is human.

We must trust in Him. We must rely on Him. Our confidence must rest on the Lord. He brings us total victory. We must learn how to put our whole trust on the Lord and His Word. The Lord will never fail you. As you look to the Lord and His Word, He makes you great (2 Sam 22:36) The Lord is with you always. He makes your path straight and makes a way through the mountains.

Learn to have no confidence in flesh. Our confidence must be upon the One who never fails. As we learn to trust on and depend on Him, He will meet our every need. Then we can boldly say “all the promises of God in Him are yes, and in Him Amen, to the Glory of God through us” (2 Cor 1:20). There is failure when we trust in other people or in the flesh. There is victory when our trust is in Him alone. The Word of God helps us put our trust in the Lord. We must come to a place where we fully depend on Him as we do this our confidence in the flesh diminishes. Most people have what we call self-confidence. However it would be better if we had confidence in the Lord. He will not fail you at all.

“As I trust the Lord and His Word, I see victory and favor on my life and all around me in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen."
