“Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.”
(2 Timothy 2:3)

When pressure visits your life, stand your ground and refuse to believe anything, except the Word of God. Refuse to change your confession. Soldiers will put up with far more discomfort than civilians. A soldier is trained to jump out of bed very early in the morning irrespective of the weather. He will then ready himself for exercises. At times he may not like it, but he does so because he was ordered or commanded to do so.

Well, the Word of God has commanded you to fight the Good Fight of Faith. Some Christians hear the Word of Faith and they respond, “Well I will try that”. Then when hard times come, they give up. But that is not how we should be. After all, we are not civilians, we are Soldiers! We don’t try faith, we make it our lifestyle. You must decide to walk in faith whether it is easy or not. Jesus is our Commander in Chief and the Bible says, “But without faith [it is] impossible to please [him]: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and [that] he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” Hebrews 11:6.

We must be motivated by our desire to serve the Lord. We must believe in His Word, stand fast and endure even when the hard times come.

“I refuse to get involved in civilian affairs. As a fighter in the ring of life, I fight by the rules of the Word. Amen.”
