“Wealth and riches [shall be] in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever.”
(Psalm 112:3)

The above verse of Scripture is beautiful. But when will wealth and riches be found in your house? When you fear the Lord and find great delight in His commands. This is when wealth and riches shall be in your house.

The theme of Psalms 112 is that right dealing with our finances establishes us forever in the Righteousness of God. If we do not handle our money rightly, we will never be established in the Righteousness of God. Let me give you a beautiful teaching of Jesus found in the Book of Matthew: “Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” Matthew 6:19-21.

Right giving ensures that God will provide for us in this world, but that is not the ultimate. The ultimate truth is that we are laying up treasures in Heaven in proportion to what we give on earth. Where you invest is where you are concerned. If you are more concerned for the Kingdom, you must invest more.

“My eagerness to give is matched by my actual giving. I will not allow stumbling blocks to get in my way of generosity, Amen.”
