“Talk no more so exceeding proudly; let [not] arrogancy come out of your mouth: for the LORD [is] a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed.”
(1 Samuel 2:3)

In order to know how to avoid living in arrogance we must first look at the meaning of arrogance. Arrogance means: Conceit, Haughtiness, Insolence, Lordiness, Pompousness, Presumption, Pretension, Pride, Uppishness, Swagger and so forth.

Now that we understand what arrogance means, we are to eradicate this spirit out of our lives at all cost. Many Christians live their lives today operating and functioning in this spirit which belongs to the world. Avoid this at all cost. Be gentle and kind and let your speech be full of Grace. “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.” Galatians 5:22-26.

Let us continue to live by the Spirit and also to follow the Spirit. In this way we will keep the flesh crucified. Do not be proud and overbearing to others. Live your life in a spirit of humility and kindness.

“I now make a quality decision to live a life full of meekness and kindness. I refuse to live a life of arrogance. Amen.”
