Behold, how good and how pleasant [it is] for brethren to dwell together in unity! (Psalm 133:1)

This Scripture carries such wisdom. A united front is always harder to defeat than a divided one. Don’t allow the devil to separate you from other believers through offense. Stay in the Word and set your will to walk in the love of God. Great peace will be with you as a result. The devil will try his very best to separate you from the Church or Christian fellowship.

Why? He wants to separate you first and finish you off. It’s like separating a hot coal from all others. That one coal that is separated soon grows cold and dies. That is why you should guard yourself at all times against offense and strife.

“And Abram said unto Lot, Let there be no strife, I pray thee, between me and thee, and between my herd-men and thy herd-men; for we [be] brethren. [Is] not the whole land before thee? Separate thyself, I pray thee, from me: if [thou wilt take] the left hand, then I will go to the right; or if [thou depart] to the right hand, then I will go to the left. Genesis 13:8-9.

Here we find that Abraham proved his maturity. He allowed the younger man Lot, to have the first choice of all the land. Why? Just to avoid strife and contention. You too must do everything in your power to keep the devil from separating you from God, the Church and Christian fellowship. Make every effort to dwell in unity.

"The Lord has commanded His blessings upon me. He has given me life everlasting and full of joy, Amen.”
