“Because thou hast made the LORD, [which is] my refuge, [even] the most High, thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling…” (Psalm 91:9-10)

As you function in life, know without a shadow of doubt that the protection of God is all around you and on you. That is why no evil shall befall you. You will tread upon the lion and the cobra. You will trample upon the young lion and the serpent, under your feet. The Lord God is your refuge and fortress: “I will say of the LORD, [He is] my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.” Psalm 91:2.

Now let us consider the meaning of “refuge”. God is your harbor, your haven, your hide-out, your protection and retreat. He is further your sanctuary, security and shelter. This is so wonderful.

This is what God is to you in your day-to-day life. The Lord is indeed your dwelling place: “Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations.” Psalm 90:1. Now let us consider what it means for God to be you are “Fortress.”

The Word fortress refers to a castle, citadel, fort and stronghold. This is all and more that God is to you. He is indeed your refuge, fortress and your dwelling place. Therefore, No evil shall befall you. You are divinely protected.

“I am God’s Son/Daughter. Therefore I shall not be afraid and boldly declare that no evil shall befall me in Jesus Name. Amen.”
