I am Grateful for Every Good Thing :-)
“[And I pray] that the participation in and sharing of your faith may produce and promote full recognition and appreciation and understanding and precise knowledge of every good [thing] that is ours in [our identification with] Christ Jesus [and unto His Glory].” (Philemon 1:6 – Amplified)
Though the central theme of Philemon, is the Restoration of a fellow Christian who was a runaway slave, the substance of the Epistle is meatier than its volume. The above Scripture in particular teaches us the practical application of our faith. As you acknowledge every good thing, your faith becomes strong: “And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and [in] all judgment;” Philippians 1:9.
This is indeed true. Your love abounds more and more every day as you allow the Word of God to enter into your mind and heart. Remember that you have to put your faith to work. Let us consider the following Scripture: “What [doth it] profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be [ye] warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what [doth it] profit? Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.”James 2:14-17.
As you put the Word of God to work in your life, by Prayer, Service, Confession of God’s Word etc, you begin to acknowledge every good thing. As you do this, your faith develops and your joy abounds.

“I am active in sharing my faith. My faith becomes effective only when I acknowledge who I am in Christ, so I acknowledge every good thing, In Jesus Christ Mighty Name, Amen.”
