“Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world” (Titus 2:12) Have you watched an athlete train. He does the same thing over and over until He becomes very fit, good and quick. He practices to improve his skills. He does this so He can win the race. So much of training for one event, yet they do it again and again. This is the same way you can train yourself in Spiritual things. Hebrews 5:14 says that we can train ourselves to distinguish between good and evil. When you train for something, you daily expose yourself to whatever you want to become. You must practice it over and over until it becomes second nature to you. People that are disciplined (in whatever area), have practiced being disciplined. They have made wise choices. Spending time with God is a Spiritual exercise. As you spend time with God and His Word, your Spirit becomes stronger and stronger. This will cause you to overcome bad habits and adopt good ones. “Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world” (Titus 2:12)

Have you watched an athlete train.

As you read this devotional, make up your mind to train your spirit. Don’t miss church and meetings. These are all designed to help you grow in the things of God.

POWER CONFESSION
