“For we are glad, when we are weak, and ye are strong: and this also we wish, even your perfection. 11 Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.” (2 Corinthians13:9, 11) Paul sends a flop-proof recipe to the congregation in Corinth about how to become spiritually perfect. “We pray hard that it will all come together in your lives…Be cheerful. Keep things in good repair. Keep your spirits up. Think in harmony. Be agreeable. Do all that and the God of love and peace will be with you for sure,” says The Message Translation of our text. Spiritual growth is going to require of you to obey God and to live according to the way He sets out in His Word. Furthermore, you should always be filled with joy. The joy that comes from God is never dependent on your physical situation, it comes from within. The faithful should not fight with each other. We must be peace makers who live in peace with one another, as well as with God. “For we are glad, when we are weak, and ye are strong: and this also we wish, even your perfection. 10 Therefore I write these things being absent, lest being present I should use sharpness, according to the power which the Lord hath given me to edification, and not to destruction.” 2 Corinthians 13:9-10. If you are prepared to follow this recipe, you will soon be able to see it producing fruit in your spiritual life. Prayer for Today – “Heavenly Father, I pray that You will enable me to be obedient to You and to be joyful always. Help me not to live in discord with others in Jesus Christ Name, Amen”. – Faith Centre International
