“Thy Word is settled in Heaven. 97 O how love I Thy law! it is my meditation all the day. 98 Thou through thy commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies: for they are ever with me. 105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path”. (Psalm. 119:89, 97-98,105) The Psalmist finds God’s Word and law very special. In today’s text there are eight characteristics of the Word which stand out. • God’s Word is Eternal (v. 89); • It is something that we delight in (v.92); • It gives meaning to our lives (v.93); • It helps us to resist temptations and keeps us from every evil path (v.95, 101); • It is boundless (v.96); • It gives us wisdom and insight (v. 98); • It is a light and a lamp on our path through life (v. 105); • It gives us joy (v. 111). How important is your Bible to you? Are you as enthusiastic about it as the Psalmist? One of the consequences of our busy schedules is that we read God’s Word superficially. Diligently study your Bible and then go out and live as the Bible requires you to live. Return to the Word of God and watch Positive Results in your Life. Prayer for Today – “Lord, I praise You for Your Wonderful Word. Thank You for the important part it plays in my life. Help me to find sufficient time every day to study Your Word and please talk to me every day through Your Word in Jesus Christ Name, Amen”. – Faith Centre International
